Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Naija Empires is in its playtest: nothing costs money, and the kola shop gives packs away for free.
Where is my city saved?
In the browser on your phone or computer, as you play. Clearing the browser’s data or playing in a private window loses it. Player accounts, so your city follows you to any device, come later.
I added it to my iPhone home screen and my city is gone
On iPhone, the home-screen version keeps its own save, separate from Safari. Pick one and play there. Your Safari city is still in Safari.
Does my city keep going when I close the game?
Yes. Buildings finish, farms fill, and raids and hazards happen while you are away. When you come back, the game tells you what happened.
How long does an era take?
Weeks of real time. The first levels take minutes; the last take days.
Can I play more than one city?
Yes. Each city keeps its own save. Pick another from the menu at any time; Continue takes you back to the last one.
How do I start a city again?
Tap the city card at the top, then Settings, then Delete my city. This cannot be undone.
Can I raid my friends?
Not yet. Raids on real players need accounts. For now the rival rulers are run by the game.
Is the history real?
The cities, kingdoms, titles, landmarks, raiders and most figures are real, and every fact in the game is checked against sources. The Era II battles are the game’s own fiction set in real places; no real politician appears, only roles. Portraits are fictional depictions.
What do I need to play?
A recent phone or computer browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. The game works with touch, mouse or trackpad.
How do I turn the sound off?
Tap the city card at the top, then Settings, then Sound.
Still stuck? Start with Your first hour.
